Yard Games

Add a little something extra to your cocktail hour!
Yard games are always a big hit, especially if there's a large number of kids at your event.
Adults will enjoy them too!

Megan & John's Wedding

We had the wonderful pleasure of coordinating Megan + John's wedding on August 26, 2017 at Hotel Emma. Megan + John are one of the sweetest, cutest couple I know, and can withstand any storm you throw their way! It just so happened that Hurricane Harvey made it's debut the day of Megan + John's special day. With help from some amazing professionals, their wedding was beautiful and perfect in every way. The ceremony was moved indoors and the harpist played while guests entered the room and throughout the ceremony. Hotel Emma has a very unique style and acted as a brewery in the early 1900s. The reception took place in the Elephant Cellar. The refined, industrial look is accented with custom chandeliers made from 1920s bottle fillers. Huge brewing tanks are ranked along both sides of the cellar. Megan + John's floral complimented the space using orange, peach, red and greenery. I loved how the couple utilized the foyer space and kitchen in the hallway. Guests enjoyed cocktails and Photo Booth entertainment during cocktail hour. The kitchen was no ordinary kitchen and was used for one of the bars. Later in the evening, the kitchen was flipped into the cake area with extra desserts...oh, what a beautiful cake it was! After dinner, guests enjoyed entertainment by The Spazmatics Band. It was quite a show - everyone was on the dance floor! Why would they be sitting? It was pretty awesome! At the end of the night, Megan + John were sent off with ribbon wands.

Candy Creations by Sandi

Today, the spotlight is on Candy Creations by Sandi. Sandi Fender started out offering custom candy bars, and has now grown into making custom backdrops and bundles. Sandi can create designs in various color and fit the style of your event. The custom flowers aren't just great for weddings and events, but can be perfect for photo session props. Backdrops are available for rental and bundles are available for purchase. Backdrops can be used for anything you want, but I would recommend backdrops for ceremony, cake table, candy bar and photobooth or selfie station. If this is what you've been looking for, be sure to contact Sandi at least 4 weeks in advance. Happy Planning!

Trisha & Mark's Fall Wedding

Last weekend we had the great pleasure of decorating and coordinating Trisha & Mark's wedding day at Milltown Historic District - The River Venue. This was the ultimate DIY wedding! Trisha and Mark used their creative juices to create all the centerpieces and fall decor throughout the event. The centerpieces consisted of a faux pumpkin that had fall sticks and leaves coming out the top. To go along side, there was a lantern and 2 mason jars with led candles inside. Some of the mason jars were covered in leaves and some had little fairy lights with burlap inside. The beautiful fresh floral was done by a floral designer at Milltown. The candy bar was a huge hit with the guests and was cleared out before the end of the night! The fall theme was carried onto the candy bar with mini pumpkins and fall faux floral in vintage, tin milk jugs. As guests arrived, they signed the guest barrel, dropped their gifts and took their seats on the river lawn. It was so beautiful and peaceful with the river flowing in the background! After the ceremony, the wedding party took pictures on the bridge while guests enjoyed cocktail hour, which went right into dinner and dancing! Katherine & Aaron's Wedding

As the leaves start to change color, and weather starts to get a little cooler, that is a reminder that love is in the air and wedding season is in full effect! We had the great joy of helping Katherine and Aaron with their happy day. K+A are a super fun couple and wanted their day to be relaxed, yet sophisticated. They chose Pearl Studio, which is unlike many spots we are used to with a modern vibe ... pretty cool! K+A did a First Look which was so sweet! You can totally tell these two are in love and ready to be married. The ceremony took place in the breezeway with a twinkle light curtain back drop. After cocktails and photos, guests made their way inside for dinner and dancing. The couple was having so much fun on the dance floor, that they decided to spend their last minutes dancing with family and friends... and bubbles of course! No grand farewell needed. It was the perfect ending to Katherine and Aaron's wedding. Enjoy their wedding day highlights! Photos by Captured by Carmen Photography
