Happy Anniversary to Brigid+Harrison

Cheers to 3 years! We were honored to coordinate Brigid and Harrison's wedding at The Witte Museum on Saturday, May 30, 2015. The ceremony took place in the Texas Heritage Center, which set a beautiful scene with large glass windows. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors-d'oeuvres in the Memorial Auditorium followed by the reception. Throughout the evening, guests were welcome to wonder the magical property and explore in the H-E-B Treehouse. Instead of a traditional first dance between bride and groom, Brigid and Harrison performed a "first song" with ukuleles, while their bridal party stood behind them accenting the song with other instruments. It was very cute and unique! During dinner, guests were entertained by Mariachi Azul. The rest of the evening was spent eating sweet treats and dancing the night away.

Favor Friday

Hello Friday! Today, we want to share some of our favorite favor ideas from past weddings. The tradition of old-fashioned favors is starting to disappear. However, couples tend to have "useful" favors such as custom koozies at the bar. If you have a photobooth, the photo strip can be doubled as a favor. Some couples have dessert or candy buffets, which have little takeaway bags. We love the non-traditional cigar roller, which rolled cigars as a takeaway or for guests to enjoy at the event. Many couples have fun props for dancing, and guests take home whatever prop they are fond of. Take a peek at some of the favors we've seen and loved! We hope this brings inspiration to your event.

Kelsi & Derek's Wedding

We had the pleasure of coordinating Kelsi & Derek's hill country wedding on May 5, 2018. Cinco de Mayo! What a beautiful and intimate celebration it was! The wedding festivities took place at the charming Cherokee Rose venue in Comfort, TX. Kelsi & Derek said I DO riverside along side of breathtaking cypress trees. Words cannot describe how gorgeous the scenery is .. the cypress trees frame the ceremony space and create the perfect place for an altar. After they tied the knot, guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the Dolly Barn and on the lawn adjacent under the oak trees. Instead of doing a grand farewell after the dancing, Kelsi and Derek did a grand entrance with colorful, eco friendly confetti! So much fun, I love that they did this! During cake cutting, the couple made a very exciting announcement that they are expecting a baby girl! The evening was filled with delicious food, dancing and laughter. Enjoy highlights of Kelsi and Derek's magical wedding day! Stay tuned for more in June.

Nikki & Tyler's Wedding

Cheers to the new MR + MRS Schweers! We had the pleasure of coordinating Nikki and Tyler's Spring time, hill country wedding on April 28, 2018! Where do I begin? Nikki and Tyler are the most amazing couple! Their wedding was a reflection of their personality...beautiful, fun and endearing. As guests arrived, they were welcomed and made their way to the beautiful, shaded ceremony site under the big oak trees. Not much decor was needed because nature speaks for itself, but the chairs were accented with mason jars filled with floral. After the I DOs, guests made their way to cocktail hour and enjoyed refreshing beverages while mingling with one another. Once the newlyweds + bridal party were done with photos, they made their grand dance entrance! This always makes us smile! Dinner, dancing and toasts filled the evening. It was quite enjoyable! At the end of the night, the couple said farewell with confetti... it looked like snow... love it!
