vintage inspiration

Antiques, colored glass, books...oh my! Today, we want to inspire you with a little bit of glass lanterns, lace, antique goodies and more. Call it what you want, we call it vintage! This vintage flair came from Faryn & Jesse's wedding. Using a typewriter as the guest book - how cool! Guests typed their personal message to the couple. The dessert table was something special in itself with lots to satisfy your sweet tooth! Sweet treats were all displayed on antique silver stands. Stacked suitcases, lace and candlesticks were placed throughout the space to add to the vintage vibe.

let's sit here

Besides your designated dinner table, where will you sit? It's becoming more popular to have additional seating areas throughout your event space. This gives your event a unique vibe and brings an overall comfort to the space. Seating areas can be any style, generally you go with the style of your theme or design. One of my favorites are vintage seating areas with antique pieces. To kick it up a notch, you can add a game to the table for your guests to enjoy. Seating areas are perfect during cocktail hour in an outside space (assuming the weather is nice!). Decorate your seating area with a light fixture (hanging from the tree), coffee/end table and add a few floral pieces to tie in the overall look. If it is chilly, add a few throw blankets. Here are some seating areas I have seen over the years. Get comfy...and enjoy the inspiration!

Floral Feature Friday

Beautiful! Lauren and Sam's wedding was beautiful in every way - from the venue to the flowers. Everyone was so friendly and happy to celebrate the love between the couple. Today, I want to share with you the gorgeous floral designs. This wedding was soft, classy and romantic - the flowers were no exception. Enjoy the eye candy that we call flowers!

Dapper Denman

ahhh! February is here, which makes me love all things red and pink! Love is in the air! So here's a romantic style shoot that will have you swooning! The Dapper Denman style shoot was inspired by San Antonio venue, The Denman Estate. The Denman Estate striking striped wallpaper in the entrance hall and a vintage flair. The style shoot was planned by Events by Jennifer Craft and shot by Expose The Heart Photography. Evember Floral & Event Designs and CRU Vintage Rentals also helped in making our vision come to life through floral and vintage décor and furniture. We wanted to incorporate a glamorous vibe with a touch of vintage, and we did so with the colors red, black and gold.  The paper goods such as table numbers, signage and menus were designed and created by Girl General. The wedding dress and accessories were provided through Impression Bridal. The tuxedo and accessories were provided through Rex Formal Wear.

Many weddings have signature drinks and special touches throughout the celebration. Bartenders 4 You created “Ravishing Ruby” and “Raspberry Kiss” cocktails. “Ravishing Ruby” was a vodka-based cocktail with lime garnish, served in a vintage goblet. “Raspberry Kiss” was a champagne cocktail with fresh berries, served in a flute rimmed in gold sugar. Speaking of sugar, the grand cake was designed by The Exclusive Cake Shop. Gold chivari chairs and linens were provided by DPC Event Services. The Excalibur Limo was provided by San Antonio Limo.
