Katherine & Aaron's Wedding

As the leaves start to change color, and weather starts to get a little cooler, that is a reminder that love is in the air and wedding season is in full effect! We had the great joy of helping Katherine and Aaron with their happy day. K+A are a super fun couple and wanted their day to be relaxed, yet sophisticated. They chose Pearl Studio, which is unlike many spots we are used to with a modern vibe ... pretty cool! K+A did a First Look which was so sweet! You can totally tell these two are in love and ready to be married. The ceremony took place in the breezeway with a twinkle light curtain back drop. After cocktails and photos, guests made their way inside for dinner and dancing. The couple was having so much fun on the dance floor, that they decided to spend their last minutes dancing with family and friends... and bubbles of course! No grand farewell needed. It was the perfect ending to Katherine and Aaron's wedding. Enjoy their wedding day highlights! Photos by Captured by Carmen Photography

Dora & Matt's Real Wedding

I had the great pleasure of coordinating Dora and Matt's wedding on September 16, 2017. Talk about the sweetest couple!! You can tell these two are truly soul mates - just by looking at their pictures! The ceremony took place at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Converse, TX. Afterward, the guests made their way to Lost Mission in Spring Branch, TX. There, guests were greeted with festive music played by the mariachi band as well as an open bar with appetizers. Once the couple arrived, all the main events took place back to back, leaving lots of time for our lovebirds to mingle and enjoy their happy day with family and friends. Lost Mission's fire wall turned on around sunset and became a unique feature and backdrop for photos. DJ Men-Yo threw an amazing party never leaving the dance floor empty. The newlyweds were sent off with bubbles - always a classic! Enjoy highlights below by Edgar Vega Photography.

Reeling in the Big ONE

Our recent birthday boy was my son, Jameson! I enjoyed planning and decorating his special day with the theme "Ofishally One." Since my husband, John, likes to fish, I figured Jameson may too one day and become Daddy's little fishing buddy. Our little fisherman had an intimate gathering of family and close friends. Our dining room was set with all things to please your sweet tooth - cake, cupcakes and small candy bar geared toward the fishing theme. The candy bar had Twislers as "fishing line," Swedish Fish as "catch of the day" and gummy worms as "bait." We had a selfie station set up with birthday props and the hashtag to link photos on Instagram. I ordered a birthday poster from Shutterfly for guests to sign. After snacking, mingling and cake, the little ones eventually made their way outside to enjoy playing in the water play table! It was a fun day!

Sparkler Send Off

After the wedding cake, toasts and dancing comes the send off! Couples are always looking for something unique and spectacular, but I have to say you can't go wrong with sparklers! If your venue allows it, I definitely recommend it. Be sure to add your personality to it -- do a dip, a twirl and kiss!! It creates the perfect backdrop for your photos and is fun for everyone! Brooke and Rick did it right -- check out their sparkler send off downtown San Antonio at Marriott Plaza!
