Jenn & Norb's Real Wedding

This couple knew how to keep it classy! Talk about a timeless, elegant wedding...I loved every minute of helping this beautiful couple with their wedding. Trendy celebrations are fun, but I personally feel that one day when you look back at your wedding photos, you want to say, "Wow! Our wedding was timeless and beautiful." It was a great pleasure to be a part of Jenn & Norb's wedding day celebration! It took place Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, TX.

As guests arrived, they were greeted with cocktail hour in the courtyard and a private viewing of art collections throughout the museum. The couple viewed the reception space before anyone else was allowed inside. The bride, Jennifer, was so excited - I think she even had a few small tears of joy! It is moments like those that touch my heart and make me realize I'm in the right profession - love my brides! The celebration continued with lots of dancing and laughter. The couple was sent off into the night with rose petals.

keeping the peace

No matter what event you host >> if children are present, then it's important to keep them happy right? If they are happy, parents are happy. Win, win! If you don't have children, you may overlook kids and not understand their needs...totally normal! I didn't know what all was entailed to "keeping the peace" until I had a child of my own. Whether it's a birthday, wedding or any special event where kids are welcome, I recommend having kids activities of some sort. I've seen everything from a completely separate kid space with a hired sitter to simply coloring books & toys in a basket or laid out on the table. Different ideas for different budgets. Here's some ideas from past events I've coordinated. Cheers to keeping the peace!

Wildflower Wedding

Today is Floral Feature Friday! We are excited to share these beautiful and unique designs with you! Wildflowers were on trend for a few years and are still perfect to use if you have a rustic event. Chelsea and Kyle's wedding was somewhat of a rustic chic wedding and the flowers really tied the whole look together, especially with the sunflower incorporation. Check it out!

Winter Wedding

It's Wedding Wednesday ... our favorite day of the week!! In honor of my 4 year wedding anniversary, I am featuring my wedding! *Jen+John* January 18, 2013 we were married at St. John's Lutheran Church and celebrated at Southwest School of Art. We wanted a winter wedding and chose the color scheme of blue and white with hints of metallic. Luckily, it wasn't too cold that day...just cold enough to call it winter! ;) Enjoy the photos and hope it brings someone inspiration for their own wedding!

but 1st .... let me take a selfie!

All the new rage! Whether it's at a wedding, birthday or shower, "Selfie Stations" have taken on a life of their own. Everyone at one point or another has taken a selfie. It's a fun way to invite guests to get involved, take silly pictures and have fun. It's important to create a hashtag for Instagram purposes. That way you can look up guest pictures from the event. Selfie Stations are a great alternative for photo booths, especially if you are on a budget.

How To Create a Selfie Station:
1. Pick a theme. Create Signage
2. Get some props & a few selfie sticks
3. Come up with a hashtag # for your event
4. Set up a backdrop, sign, props & selfie sticks on table
Done! Super easy and fun

Floral Feature Friday!

Happy Friday! Today marks the end of a work week and we celebrate by showing off some of our favorites. Here's a flashback to Jessica & Steven's November wedding at Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort. I played double duty that day as the planner and bridesmaid - super awesome!

Check out these beautiful flowers!!

Jenn + David Real Wedding

Talk about a beautiful couple! We had so much fun working with Jenn & David on their wedding. The celebration went down on Saturday, March 5, 2016 in Willis, TX. This was truly a fun loving group of friends and family! Jenn and David have a lot of connections and talent because this was the ultimate DIY wedding. Jenn and her mother created all of the centerpieces, place mats, place cards, escort chart and glittered champagne flutes (which the guests took home as favors).  Each vendor was a friend of the family - from the caterer to me, the planner! I personally know Jenn from high school and it was an honor to help her with this special day! Check out the highlights from this wonderful celebration.
